Hallo! Ich bin Heather. Wilkommen auf meinem Blog!

Hello! My name is Heather Bigelow. Welcome to my Blog!

I attend the University of Michigan, where I plan to major in History (and possibly International Relations) and minor in German.  I plan to focus on some aspect of European history  after World War II.  I come from a small town called Ithaca, Michigan. Some of my hobbies include listening to music, reading, hanging with friends, and going to the movies.

In the spring of 2013, I went to Germany for 2 weeks. Specifically, I went to Ludwigslust, which is a city in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Ludwigslust is about halfway between Hamburg and Berlin, and is an absolutely beautiful city.I also went to Berlin for a day, and Hamburg on two separate days. I fell in love with the German culture, and that is why I decided to take German as my foreign language requirement.

I am the middle child of 3, and I have an older brother, and a younger sister.  I have 2 dogs, Honey, who is a red-nosed pitbull, and Luke, who is a German Shepherd.

  1. Amen. Okay, this is a start. Now we need to know more, right? What else do you want to share with your audience (mostly me and your classmates — for now)? Consider experimenting with images and/or links. Invest in your visual rhetoric in ways that enhance the effectiveness of what you’re hoping to accomplish. Perhaps add your “Where I’m From” poem? In any case, you’d be wise to spend an hour or two working on your blog this weekend. Don’t get too far behind. Have fun.

  2. And don’t forget that you were supposed to post responses to the readings (primarily King and/or Jefferson as well as the “deranged sorority girl” email). Use those informal writing assignments to examine the rhetorical choices that writers make and how they effect the overall success of their arguments.
